Club Champs 7th October
A crisp autumn day showed the wood in all its glory and there were quite a few squirrels scampering about.  Sadly only 9 members were able to attend the shoot, which was a full 20 target station course with many multiples!  Plenty of great looking shots arranged by George, Hanna and others, made for a very enjoyable shoot.  Thank you as always to those that helped plan, set up and clear down the course - no easy task this time with fading light! Congratulations to Alan and Cathy who won Best Gent and Best Lady respectively.

Autumn Shoot
As I post this looking at beautiful blue skies and bright sunshine, it's hard to believe quite how cold, wet and breezy it was earlier! Well done to Cathy, John, Alan, Phil and Anna who turned up and shot half the course, just for the fun of it, in the tricky conditions this morning. Roll on the Club Champs, 7th October.

Open July 2018
Our visitors coped remarkably well with the challenging terrain in the blisteringly hot weather over the weekend.  Congratulations to all the bow class medal winners and in particular to Steve Taylor who was this year's recipient of the Brian Quaintmere Memorial Trophy for the most kills in a Bowhunter round.

Bluebell 13th May 2018
Bluebells were a little past their absolute best but still a beautiful sight as we wandered around the wood today.  Bright sunshine and a light breeze made for very pleasant shooting conditions.  Thanks to Alan and Anna for planning and organising this one.  Welcome return for Hanna and George, particularly for the latter as he was this year's worthy winner of the Bluebell Trophy.

Bowhunter 8th April 2018
Rain all day soon turned the ground into a slippy affair.  15 archers, some of whom were returning to the club after a few years' absence, braved the difficult conditions and tested their skills with a one arrow per target Bowhunter shoot.  Many thanks as always to those that helped plan, set up and clear down in less than ideal conditions!  Congratulations to Nigel, this year's worthy winner.

Briddlesford BST shoot 25th March 2018
Our first, of what we hope will be many, shoots at the wood off Briddlesford road.  Planned, organised and set out by Dave with a little help from willing helpers the day before.  10 archers tried out the new site which was met with general approval all round and we hope to set up a bigger shoot next time.  A little soggy underfoot in places but otherwise fine.  A new trophy, a model hare which aptly heralds the start of spring.
